Powered by Nature | Organic Essential Oils

At the heart of every drop of our skincare products lies the essence of nature — the unspoiled beauty and power of the Pacific Northwest. When we say "Essential Oils, Powered by Nature," we're not just referring to the high-quality pure, premium steam distilled essential oils, botanicals and plant extracts used in our products. We're honoring a deeper connection to the land, culture, and heritage of the Pacific Northwest, where the land, sea, and sky all come together to create a unique and powerful ecosystem. In this blog, we’ll explore what it truly means to be "Powered by Nature.

The Pacific Northwest is known for its breathtaking landscapes, from the towering rainforests and snow-capped mountains to the rugged coastlines and tranquil waters. This region, rich in natural resources, is home to diverse ecosystems where plants and trees thrive in the wild, untouched by modern industrialization. Here, in the cool, misty air and fertile soil, nature's bounty has flourished for centuries.

The Pacific Northwest’s indigenous communities have a rich tradition of using plants for healing, crafting remedies that honor the land and its resources. These plants, from cedar and sage to lavender and wild mint, were carefully harvested and used for everything from skincare to rituals of purification. In many ways, these traditions reflect the principles of organic skincare: using pure, natural ingredients to nourish and protect the body, all while maintaining a balance with the earth.

When we say that our skincare is "Powered by Nature," we acknowledge this long-standing relationship between humans and the natural world. Just as the indigenous peoples have done for centuries, we turn to nature’s pharmacy to create products that support and enhance the health of our skin. Every essential oil farmer we support, every plant we source, carries with it the spirit of land.  In August 2025, Bear Essential Oils announces it's "Rebuilding the Community Garden" project inspired by the West Coast Wildflowers, an Indigenous lifestyle + wellness gift shop in Campbell River, B.C. At Bear, essential oils are at the heart of our products, and they’re the perfect embodiment of the idea of being "Powered by Nature." Though at Bear Essential Oils, we have expanded into diffuser oils and skincare we remain to the commitment of premium, high-quality and ethically sourced and wildcrafted essential oils.

Bath + Body Serums: Summer Bestsellers

Owning an essential oil company in British Columbia, it's inspiration is rooted in being born and raised across the Pacific Northwest. It's both a privilege and a responsibility. It means being stewards of the land, ensuring that the plants we harvest are cultivated with care and respect for the environment. Sustainability is at the core of our business practices — from the way we source our supply chain through reputable and certified local farmers to how we package and distribute our products. We strive to maintain a delicate balance: enjoying the bounty of the land while ensuring that the land itself remains healthy for generations to come.

We are deeply committed to supporting local communities and ensuring that our business practices align with the values of respect and reciprocity.
